Since 1981, over 70 ophthalmologists throughout Southern California have trusted Ocular Diagnostics to provide them with the most consistently accurate A-scan biometric measurements possible.

When you have a patient who cannot be accurately or confidently measured using your own IOLMaster® or LENSTAR® unit, what do you do?

Since the IOLMaster® and LENSTAR® have become part of the ophthalmic landscape, the number of ophthalmic assistants that are thoroughly trained and experienced enough to perform accurate A-scan measurements has dwindled.

-Ocular Diagnostics specializes in providing you with precise IOL measurements and calculations for patients who cannot be measured with the IOLMaster™ or LENSTAR™ systems.

We arrive at your office with our own equipment (no need to buy or maintain expensive equipment.)

Your technician is freed to perform other tests and tasks, eliminating the need to train yet another technician for biometry.

We will perform A-scan measurments using our A-scan biometer. We also obtain keratometry readings using your keratometer. When all measurements are completed, we leave a detailed report with your office.

We bill the patient's insurance for the Technical Component (76519-TC) of the A-scan biometry exam.

Your office bills for the Professional component (76519-26) of the exam.

Patients and ophthalmologists who are choosing to upgrade to the more-expensive Premium IOLs are provided with an extra layer of assurance by having their eyes measured with two (2) different modalities; Ultrasound and Optical Coherence Biometry.

Our technician takes the time to explain to each patient what an IOL is, how it works, and answers general questions pertaining to biometry.

Our philosophy is that an informed patient is a more relaxed, secure and satisfied patient. They merely want to know what has happened to them, what is about to happen with IOL surgery, and what kind of result they can reasonably expect.

Your practice and your patients will greatly benefit from our 30+ years experience in mobile A-scan biometry.
